Daniel and Evan’s Chatfield Farms Wedding

Daniel and Evan started their day getting ready together in the Chatfield Farms school house, where they helped each other into their stylish and complimentary green and blue suits. Then they headed outside for a champagne toast before we wandered the property for some portarits.

Even though the day was predicting rain, we didn’t get any moisture until the reception (more on that later!), so we had the perfect weather for exploring the property for photos. They even requested a few Wes Anderson inspired photos, just for fun.

When it was time for the ceremony, they walked towards the entrance arch together, then did a round of Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide who would walk down the aisle with their parents first (spoiler alert: Evan won).

Both Daniel and Evan wrote their own vows, the reading of which brought Daniel to tears multiple times. I just adore the way that they look at each other during the ceremony–it’s all pure love and intimacy. While they exchanged vows, their closest family members held up the Chuppah over their heads, which brought an element of family support and love to their ceremony. After the breaking of the glass and their first kiss they headed back up the aisle as husbands.

Their reception was hosted in the White Barn, cocktail style, with tall tables, lots of mingling, games, and yummy food stations. When it was time for dancing, they headed out to the twinkle-lit tree and danced the night away. Even when it started misting and sprinkling (which kept up for the rest of the night), they didn’t stop dancing, and they carried themselves to the end of the night in the rain.

Congratulations Daniel and Evan!
