Downtown Denver Halloween Wedding | Cara and Alex

I hadn’t given much thought to what a Halloween wedding could look like.  I assumed if you were going to get married on Halloween you’d be all about black lace and candy apples or something.  Or maybe jack-o-lanterns and costumes if you were really into the holiday.  But what I didn’t expect was the completely classy, candlelit affair that was Alex and Cara’s Downtown Denver Halloween Wedding.

There were, of course, a few nods to the modern day holiday, like spider web decorations on the outside of the grooms gifts and albino pumpkins galore, but overall the event was warm and welcoming, highlighted by fire-pits, fireside dining, and a surprise serenade on the dance floor.

Cara’s long-sleeved Monique Lhullier dress was stunning.  And the perfect dress for a late fall wedding.  I was also absolutely in love with the vibrancy of the flowers by Bloom by Anushka.A little touch of Halloween.  The groomsmen gifts were all antique pocket watches in custom wooden boxes.  Such a cool idea!Cara and Alex got married at the JW Marriot, Cherry Creek, so after the first look we took advantage of the alleyway textures for the bridal party photos.
the use of abino pumpkins was so perfect for the classy fall vibe that Cara and Alex were going for.
After the ceremony, we had a little bit of time left before sunset, so we took advantage of the late evening light!
Then it was back inside to warm up, mingle, and take in the gorgeous, low-light reception space.
I’m a softy at heart and I love it when toast are so personal that they have everyone in tears one minute and laughing the next.A highlight of the reception was the surprise serenade by Alex for Cara.  She had no idea it was coming!Finally, it was time to dance the night away!  Congratulations Cara and Alex!
