I made several trips into the Vail mountains this year to photograph awesome couples at one of my favorite venues, Piney River Ranch.  And this wedding, 2nd shot with Candice Benjamin, was one for the books.

Elegant Alpine Lake Wedding at Piney River Ranch

Kevin and Grace were the kindest couple and made everyone, including their vendor team, fell included and appreciated.

Their day started with blue skies as Candice and I hitched a ride with Grace and her bridesmaids in their shuttle.  The vibe in the car was excited and relaxed and this feeling carried Grace and Kevin throughout their day.

When we arrived at Piney River Ranch Kevin and Grace put their wedding attire on, then  met by the creek for an emotional first look.

The blue skies persisted the rest of the day and the views of the mountain during the ceremony were spectacular across Piney Lake.  Grace and Kevin were beautifully emotional throughout their ceremony.

After the ceremony, Grace and Kevin immediately integrated with their guests and relaxed into their reception.  I love the photo below of Grace chilling on the steps, dress pulled up to her knees, with their dog cuddled up beside her.  It’s the picture perfect mountain wedding moment.

Later in the reception, we snuck out for sunset photos and captured an amazing pink alpenglow on the mountain peaks.
