Goal #59 – 13 Years of a Gymnastics Hobby

Its no secret that I’m a huge gymnastics fan.  Getting to photography Denver University at home this season was a dream come true (see the meets here, here, and here).  Since the Sydney Olympics in 2000, I’ve been recording televised gymnastics competitions to VHS so I can watch them again and again.  As you can imagine, I’ve created quite a library, and I’ve added to that library by purchasing older competitions from other gymnastics fans out there.  See photo below:

But starting in 2008, when Heather bought me a VHS to DVD converter, I’ve been slowly copying my VHS competitions to DVD.  Its funny to look back at the quality of the older VHS compared to newer competitions recorded directly to DVD.  This week, I finally completed the transfer of my entire VHS collection to DVD.  That includes 104 competitions on 143 DVD’s.  Crazy!  It feels to good to finally complete another project on my 101 Goals in 1001 Days list.

Call me a dork it you want :)  It’s okay, really.
