Joshua Tree Bridals | Film Friday

One of my business goals over the past year or so is to try to shoot one roll of medium format film at every wedding. I’m enjoying the process of shooting medium format film so far, focusing on using the camera for portraits alongside of my digital camera.

Your can follow along with my results on Film Fridays.

All photos were taken with the following:
Pentax 645
75mm f/2.8
Fuji 400H
Masterfully developed and scanned by Indie Film Lab

As you’ve seen in previous Film Friday posts, I took a bunch of film while at Heck Yeah Photo Camp, including during Ashley’s Joshua Tree Bridals session.  You can see the digital version of my photos here, but below are juts a few captures of my film shots.

For this shoot, I used my Holdfast Moneymaker and had one digital camera attached along with my Pentax film camera.  It was actually quite nice to have my film camera right there, rather than trying to juggle two digital cameras and one film camera.

The sunrise light was just absolutely gorgeous and Ashley’s serene look was perfect for the early morning desert.

Fellow photographer Candice Benjamin put together the outfit for these bridals.
