Joshua Tree Portraits | Film Friday

One of my business goals over the past year or so is to try to shoot one roll of medium format film at every wedding. I’m enjoying the process of shooting medium format film so far, focusing on using the camera for portraits alongside of my digital camera.

Your can follow along with my results on Film Fridays.

All photos were taken with the following:
Pentax 645
75mm f/2.8
Masterfully developed and scanned by Indie Film Lab

I mentioned in my previous Film Friday post that I took a bunch of film at Heck Yeah Photo Camp in January.  In fact, I managed to use almost ALL of my remaining film stock from my 2014 season.  I definitely need to get an order in soon before my 2015 season kicks off in just a few short weeks!

The collection of Joshua Tree Portraits below were taken throughout camp, when my roommates and I were off exploring Joshua Tree National Park, plus a few snaps of a model during our styled shoot.

Candice Benjamin took this photo of  me in the Cactus Garden, about an hour after sunrise.  If you weren’t careful, those cacti would attack!
