Melissa and Garrett’s Downtown Boulder Engagement Session

Melissa and Garrett wanted to do their engagement session in Boulder because they liked the idea of a city session that still felt relaxed and low key. And rather than focus on parks and mountains, they wanted to explore locations that were architecturally interesting, fun, and a little different than what most people chose. ⁣

So they picked out a handful of spots and we hit all of them, throwing in a few hidden gems we discovered as we explored.

We started at the Dushanbe Tea House which features cool outdoor architecture and covered patios. If you make a reservation for a table, you can shoot inside too, but for this session we stuck to the outside.

Then we wandered down the street and found some awesome building architecture and art on the outside of the BMOCA building.

As we approached twilight, we stopped on Pearl Street, checking out the historic courthouse, and the Hotel Boulderado. The we grabbed a drink at Avanti, and finished the night at the Boulder Theater. ⁣ Did you know that for a small fee you can get your names up on the theater sign? Such a cool and unique touch!

I can’t wait to celebrate at their wedding with them at their wedding next fall!
