Moss Denver Wedding | Daisy and Lauren

I’ve technically known Daisy and Lauren for 3 years, since I put together my very first full-vendor styled shoot at Wild Basin Lodge.  Our florist for the shoot, Bella Calla, connected us and I’m so thankful she did.  Not only did we have a blast at the session, we became Facebook friends and kept up on each other’s lives.

So, I was ecstatic when Daisy and Lauren contacted me about photographing their Moss Denver Wedding in November.

Technically this was their third “wedding” as they had married before Marriage Equality passed, then had a Civil Union when unions passed in Colorado a couple of years later.  However, this wedding symbolized the final union of their two families and their five children into a solid, legal unit.

It was emotional and beautiful from start to finish.

We started the day at the Brown Palace where Daisy and Lauren got ready in the same suite.  However, they managed to avoid seeing each other in their dresses before their official first look.

Carr Colorado Judicial Center (Lauren is finishing up Law School) for their first look. The windows and light in the building are fantastic and I’m so glad that Daisy and Lauren chose to make some time for themselves, even amidst the hectic-ness of getting 5 kids to a wedding on time.first look at Ralph Carr Justice Center denve photoRalph Carr Justice Center Denver wedding photosame-sex wedding at Ralph Carr Justice Center Denver photobrides at justice center in Denver photobouquet on Denver statue photobrides kissing in front of Denver capital photobrides in wedding dresses photoreflection of brides at Denver Courthouse wedding photobrides walking at Denver Justice Center photoThen it was off to one of Denver’s newest industrial chic venues, Moss Denver for an emotion filled ceremony. To honor the solidifying of their family, Daisy and Lauren presented their kids with personalized necklaces, then they sealed the sand jar they had made at their first wedding with acrylic paint in a rainbow of colors.  It was so touching and beautiful.dad kisses bride at alter on wedding day photodaisy-and-lauren-358crying flower girl during ceremonysand and paint ceremony photokid crying at mom's wedding photoMoss Denver Same-sex Wedding photosame-sex wedding bridal party photoMoss Denver Same-sex Wedding photoDenver city bridal portraits same-sex photobrides at Denver wedding photoMoss Denver Same-sex Wedding photoReserved for the Brides sign photoRio Grande Same-sex wedding photoAfter a “dinner by the bite” from Wild Thyme Catering it was time for dancing, toasts, tons of hugging, and jaunts in the photo booth.same-sex first dance photofather daugher dance at lesbian weddingtoasts at Moss Denver wedding photothriller at wedding reception photodenver photo booth at wedding receptionromantic dance same-sex couple on wedding dayMoss Denver Same-Sex Wedding reception photoBig thanks to my 2nd photographer, Trent, for helping to visualize and set up these final shots.Night portrait at Moss Denver wedding photoMoss Denver night wedding photoDaisy and Lauren, it was such an honor to celebrate with your family!
