Shooting Medium Format Film | Film Friday – October 2, 2015

One of my business goals this year is to try to shoot one roll of medium format film at every wedding. I’m enjoying this process so far, focusing on using the camera for portraits alongside of my amazing digital camera.

Your can follow along with my results on Film Fridays.

Today’s post on shooting medium format film will focus on the color RED.  I’m actually a big fan of red (and bright colors in general) and love flashes of red in my wardrobe (jackets, scarves, etc).

So I was super excited to see the inspiration board for the most recent Big Fake Wedding, which featured Tuscan Red, and even more excited to see what the amazing vendors did with it.  I shot a ton of digital at the event, but also pulled out the film camera for some medium format film shots.  I had planned to take one role, but I just couldn’t stop photographing the vibrant details and easily went through two rolls.

The gorgeous display below was created by The Olive and Poppy for the head table.  The red perfectly popped against the gold sparkly table cloth.
