Behind the Scenes at the 2nd Denver Big Fake Wedding

This year we participated in the 2nd Denver Big Fake Wedding. I love the premise of this show, which is what the name says it is, a Big Fake Wedding! What it really is is an opportunity for engaged couples to see the real work that vendors do–to taste the food, see the flowers, see rental furniture lounging areas, eat the cake, and listen to the music.  All while enjoying a drinks and a party atmosphere.

With all the time spent behind the camera photographing awesome couples at amazing weddings, I don’t get in front of the camera much.  Last year Heather and I had a shoot with Cassie Rosch where we were the center of attention, but more often than not, the photos we have of each other involve weird faces or gestures during test shots or lots of face hiding behind a camera.

At the 2nd Denver Big Fake Wedding this year I had the pleasure of photographing alongside two other amazing Colorado Photographers, Rachel Gomez (assisted by Tara Bielecki) and Meigan Canfield.

And to document the day, we had to have Heather snap a few behind the scenes photos of us.
