Sprague Lake Engagement | Ally and Marco
The variety of backdrops you can find in Rocky Mountain National Park is a photographer’s dream and it was a joy to explore another part of the park with Ally and Marco.
We chose an early spring day for their Sprague Lake Engagement session and were blessed with sun, clouds, and a hint of a snowy winter left on the ground and the mountain peaks. One of the best parts of Sprague Lake for an engagement session is that you are able to wander around the entire lake easily. And that wandering means that you get to photograph the scenery from all angles and find the best light at each location.
I loved wandering around the lake with these two, learning more about their plans for the future and seeing them quietly connect with each other in the sweetest ways. Ally’s nose wrinkle when she’s happy is the absolute best. To top it off, we managed to snag a few photos with the Estes Park Elk, the perfect ending to our session since Marco is an avid hunter.
Ally is in nursing school and Marco is in med school, so time is precious to these two. I’m so glad that they prioritized taking an afternoon to connect with each other for their engagement session.
Stay tuned for their gorgeous Deer Creek Valley Ranch wedding, coming to the blog very soon!
